This past September the Friends of Maudslay contracted with Pesky Pete,   https://www.peskypetespoisonivyremoval.com/ to remove the massive amounts of poison ivy in the Courtyard.  He will take down all of the vines and dig up all of the roots in order to remove the ivy without the use of chemicals. Pete then will return at least two more times after the initial removal to insure that it is all gone.  As you can see from the photos below Pete has already begun the project.

 

We believe that this process of physically removing the invasive poison ivy versus the use of chemicals is so much more beneficial for the environment.
